On the 2nd day of the vacation, we went for a snorkeling!! haha~ It was 1 a hella good experience. Swimming in the sea with fishes an all.

We woke up early in the morning. The same time as people goes to school in Brunei. Didn't took a shower, just brush our teeth, shave and wash our face. Then we asked the van driver to send us to the Jesselton Terminal (they call it Jetty for short,don't ask me why).

Arrived at the jetty early in the morning. None of the shops there were open. Only a few small cafeteria was opened. There, it didn't feel like we're in KK. Something more not Malay-ish is what we feel over there. They have British like phone booth, harbour like the one you saw in The OC tv show or some other movies, etc.

At first we were approached by a stranger. Most of us were scared and i was trying to ignore him and we took pictures 1st. But then, I couldn't ignore him any more because he was like forcing me to talk to him. Finally he showed me where to get a speed boat to the islands. Lucky he was right. If not, mati ya~ haha

Talked to the receptionist, he said that the total payment for an adult would be RM23. That includes speedboat fees - RM17 and terminal taxes RM6. As for kids, it only cost about RM14. RM12 - boat's fees & RM3 - tax. We also have to pay for the renting of Snorkeling gear. It only cost about RM15. Our guider told to rent it from the Jetty because it is cheaper there. If we're going to rent it from the Island, it was so costly. Plus, it is more or less the same.

Our speedboat captain named Saiful. He asked us to call him Apek. You know, Saiful Apek. Haha. he's funny like him too. So anyway, it took us about 20mins journey from the Jetty to the Manukan Island. Yes we went to the Manukan Island. It was a really really beautiful island.

We were the first to arrive there. There were no other visitors except the workers and visitors who stayed overnight on the island. The island was beautiful. The green trees, the white sandy-coral beaches, the clear blue seas. Everything was really magnificent. The blow of the morning breeze, the not so hot sunshine. You gonna love it if you were to be there. Oh ya!! We also have to pay for an entrance fee. Adult RM10, child RM6.

DO NOT THROW THE RECEIPT AWAY!! Because you need that to go to the other island too. It is kinda a whole day ticket to visit to the places. Actually the place we went to visit is the property of the Tenku Abdul Rahman Resort. They kinda owned the Islands there. So yea~ Lets continue with my story.

Apek, lead the walk and showed us some places to get cheap food and cheap drinks. He asked us to get a pack of fish breads to feed to the fishes later. Finally, Apek found a very nice spot to settle down and put down our stuff. First we hung out, feel the peaceful moment. After changing to our swimming trunk and gotten our snorkel's gear, we set off to the edge of the beach.

The sands were not really sands. They were washed corals and it was really white and small. First we were kinda scared. We put our face into the water and saw nothing. We took the bread and dip it into the water, still there were nothing. We went a bit deeper, suddenly there were LOADS of fishes swam to us and ate the breads. We panicked and jump out of the water. Haha.. that was one hella funny moment.

Next, we took more breads. Went into deeper water and put some more guts. There they are again. LOADS of fishes came. But still, I was scared, so i let go the bread. Went onshore again to get some more breads and told Apek that we wanted to go deeper. So, he changed into his gears and jumped into the water.

We swam and swam while putting our face down into the water. We saw more and more fishes swimming with us. Don't panic if you feel something sharp or something bitting your. It was just the small fish (Ikan Bilis). First stop, and the centre of the water. There, more fishes can be found. This time i really have the guts. Put the bread deep into the water, and LOADS more fishes swam to it. This time, i hold it tight. I saw Angel fish, black color fish which i 4got what it was, I SAW DORRY!! the blue fish from Finding Nemo movie.

Then, Apek told us if we wanna see Nemo (clown fish), we had to go much deeper place. At the edge of the allowed place to snorkel. So we did went there. Apek did warned us not to step onto any of the coral because it is really sharp and some might be poisonous. So we tried our best to not to step anything and keep on floating. Luckily we have the safety vest. hehe..

We swam and swam till we were really tired, took a rest for a while, adjust our goggles and snorkelers, took our breathe and swam again. Finally we are at the edge, we searched and searched, finally we found 2 small clown fish swimming through some marine plants. There were alot more others fishes and it was so colorful. After a while, we decided to go back.

When we got back, i went onshore straight away because i was too tired to swim nor to walk. Haha.. Apek did tell us that if we want, we can snorkel again at another Island. But i said, its ok, we were tired plus we need to get back to the apartment by noon. So we just went to the other island to visit the place. Before we went there, we had to wash ourself first.

Took our shower and the public toilet. Our saliva was already salty, when we turn on the pipe, the pipe water is also salty. HAHAH!! Was wishing to wash our mouth, but we couldn't. LOL..

After that we went to the lil shop and get some drinks and junk food, then we took off to the other Island called Mamutik Island. There are 5 major island in KK. Gaya Island, Manukan Island, Sapi Island, Mamutik Island and..err.. i'm not sure what's the last 1 is.

It only took us about 5 mins to arrive at the Mamutik Island from Manukan Island. There we saw more fishes. Saw 2 big clown fish, long fish (we call it ikan munjung), and more fishes. There we only hung out. After a while, we took of to go back to the Jetty.

Arrived at the Jetty, we call to the apartment and request for a pick up. We said our good byes to Apek and hope to see him again in the near future.
